NJ.com reported that State Police on Wednesday released a sketch of a woman wanted in a New Jersey Turnpike hit-and-run that left a man critically injured and incapacitated.

The victim was struck Feb. 7 on the northbound lanes, at milepost 121, around 5 a.m., according to State Police. The pedestrian suffered serious head and leg injuries.

State Police said the victim recently became coherent and provided detectives with new information.

The driver was described as a woman with shoulder-length brunette hair and a tattoo on her neck that includes “script letters with a bird either holding or above the letters,” according to a statement from State Police. She is in her early 30s.

The woman’s name is possibly “Sarah or Sue,” the State Police statement said. Her passenger was described as a man in his mid-30s.

Authorities said the pair were riding in a white 2002 or 2003 Nissan Maxima, with tinted rear tail lights and New Jersey license plates.

The vehicle was last seen heading toward Fletcher Avenue in the Fort Lee and Englewood-area, the statement said. The car sustained damage to the hood and roof.

State Police released a photo of a similar vehicle, but noted it was not an image of the actual wanted car.

Anyone with information was urged to call State Police detectives at 973-344-1099, ext 1432 or 973-344-1099, ext 1437.
