Jersey City Medical Center-Barnabas Health is set to host a cardiology health event on Saturday from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. in the hospital’s cafeteria.

Robert Epps, author of “My Second Chance at Life” and a survivor of cardiovascular disease, will give a presentation on cardiovascular awareness. Epps is a Jersey City native and graduate of Snyder High School.

Other events of the day include a discussion on the signs and symptoms of heart disease, a CPR demonstration using ‘hands only” techniques by the JCMC emergency medical service, and experts answering health questions and giving out information to audience members.
