A Guttenberg man was arrested Sunday night near the entrance to the Holland Tunnel in Jersey City after police found cocaine and ecstasy in the pickup truck he was driving, according to the Jersey Journal.
Christopher Fabiano of Madison Street was charged with various drug counts and issued traffic summonses for driving a vehicle without a license plate and inspection sticker, Port Authority police spokesman Joe Pentangelo said.
At around 7 p.m., a Port Authority police officer spotted Fabiano’s yellow GMC pickup truck and noticed it did not have a front license plate or inspection sticker. The officer pulled the vehicle over at 14th and Erie streets in Jersey City and determined Fabiano had an outstanding warrant out of Newark, Pentangelo said.
After placing Fabiano under arrest, the officer recovered 19 clear plastic bags containing suspected cocaine, eight suspected ecstasy tablets and a container with drug paraphernalia, including marijuana wax and a glass pipe with marijuana residue, Pentangelo said.

The vehicle was impounded and Fabiano was taken to Hudson County jail in Kearny. Bail was set at $35,000 cash only.
