The ever-opinionated Ted Nugent will be heading to Central Florida .

To kill animals – bears, specifically.  Florida’s first bear hunt in 20 years begins October 24 and Ted got his license (darn gum’int red tape) today-the first day they were available.

Nugent, who says he has hunted lions, elephants and other big game in Africa more than 20 times, brushed aside claims by the Humane Society of the United States that deride Florida’s bear hunt as a “trophy hunt.”

“When we kill a bear in Florida and everywhere, we cherish the meat. It’s the sweetest pork you’ve ever eaten,” he said. “How dare they claim that we don’t utilize every scrap of this precious animal, cherished for the gift that it is. The rugs are magnificent.”

Enjoying it a bit too much for my comfort.  If these guys need a hobby, can’t they just take up model railroading or something?
