More than 100 varieties of premium whiskeys can be sampled next week when Taphaus (2 2nd St., Jersey City) hosts the Whiskey Festival of New Jersey.

The event is a fundraiser for York Street Project, which is hosting the festival along with Wine Country stores.

Guests can taste rare, vintage and limited edition whiskeys as well as cocktails made by some top mixologists.

The festival is planned for Thursday, Oct. 15, from 6:30 to 9:30 p.m.  Taphaus, which boasts waterfront views, has 48 tap beers as well as a full menu with several “wurst” dishes.  Sounds great!!

The Whiskey Festival has an all access ticket for $65 which allows guests to sample the whiskeys as well as try the cocktails and taste some of the food offered by Taphaus.

A portion of the proceeds will be donated to the York Street Project which provides support and housing for homeless and economically disadvantaged women and children; providing them with food, shelter, education, child care, counseling and advocacy.  You can have a good time for a good cause.
