Police are searching for two men and a woman who broke into a Jersey City apartment Sunday morning and made off with more than $4,000 in cash, The Jersey Journal reports.

Just after 11 a.m., a 17-year-old boy was waiting for family members at an Academy Street apartment when the three people entered through an unlocked door, police said.

The teen was robbed of $200 in cash, and then the trio searched the apartment and found approximately $4,000 in cash, police said. The three people then fled.

No one has been arrested, and the investigation is ongoing. Anyone with information may contact the JCPD tip line at 201-547-JAIL.
