One of the more common–and terrifying– hazards of driving in the rain is Hydroplaning which happens when the tires are riding on the top of a layer of water and have completely lost contact with the pavement. Recently, one of the Anthem of the Seas cruise ship’s swimming pools, and the drowning of a 3-year-old Pompton Plains girl.
