Step 1: Report the Work Injury Immediately

Under New Jersey law, you must report your work injury to your employer as soon as possible. While the law allows for oral notification, it’s best to do it in writing and keep a copy. You have 90 days from the date of the accident to report it, but the sooner, the better.
